We are delighted to announce the opening date of the exhibition A BODY IN THE WORLD, which brings together new works by Juliana Matsumura curated by João Silvério.
"Juliana Matsumura's exhibition, entitled "A Body in the World", is constructed as a succession of self-referential maps linking her personal memory to the collective identity represented by her family's diaspora between Brazil and Japan. The works created for this project, with a very unique plasticity and a very subtle visual poetics, are between drawing, painting and sculpture and relate references and artifacts, winds, crossings and meridians that draw this memory of a corporeality that crosses the world." - João Silvério
Our project room is occupied by Portuguese artist Inês Teles, exhibiting works in a variety of media, from sculpture to works on paper.
