Enivó

Marcus Vinícius, known as Enivo, was born in 1986 in the Grajaú neighborhood of São Paulo. At the age of 12, he had his first contact with a spray can and began to graffiti the city’s streets. Over the years, his more than 20,000 interventions, which make up urban life, have been found not only on the streets of São Paulo but all over the world.

Enivo’s latest works blend Afro-Futurist elements, which combine performative impulses with their Afro-Brazilian origins, and exalt the contributions of indigenous peoples to Brazilian culture. In addition to these elements, the artist adds elements and symbols from the everyday life of a digitized and globalized society.

Enivo is a cultural activist with a commitment to social transformation. Drawn to the vibrant São Paulo art scene and eager to learn more, Enivo studied Fine Arts at the Paulista College of Arts. After graduating in 2006, he continued with graffiti and worked as a teacher, bringing art to young people in marginalized and favela areas. Since 2004, he has taught workshops and seminars on graffiti, street art, and artistic career guidance. In his more than 25 years of career, Enivo has participated in 40
exhibitions in Brazil and worldwide.

As curator and founder of Galeria A7MA, located in Vila Madalena, he plays an important role in the professionalization of artists who want to enter the artistic market. Through his work at Galeria A7MA, Enivo has been active for 12 years with the training and inclusion of young black and peripheral artists in the art market and has already carried out more than
of 70 curatorial departments.
