The triptych Hipoderme da Terra (2024) has as its starting point the history of mining in the interior of Brazil and, particularly, the violence contained in the depletion of Pico do Cauê, in Itabira-MG, transformed into a crater. Carlos Drummond de Andrade, popularly known as the "stone poet", speaks of Pico do Cauê as a "pulverized mountain". For its part, Hipoderme da Terra is a triptych of distorted image, sound and text.

This work consists of a directional sound installation hanging from the ceiling, composed of high-pitched recordings of metal being rubbed on dry ice (solidified CO2).

These distorted metallic sounds are Loyola's interpretation of Drummond de Andrade's church bells, which he repeatedly mentions in his poems as the sonic materialization of iron. If at that time church bells dictated the days, the distorted sounds recorded by Loyola point to an activity that considerably determines our contemporary existence: mining.
