The Image as Matter

Photographic transfer and pictorial intervention
A practical workshop in which we will transform photographs with painting and manual techniques. The proposal is to explore new meanings for the photographic image with simple and accessible materials.
The workshop will have 3 stages:
- COLLECTING MATERIALS: A walk around the gallery to collect materials: wood, cardboard, stones, fabrics, etc. An invitation to observe the surroundings.
- PHOTO TRANSFER: Transferring printed images to supports with acrylic and thinner. Photography as living, transformable matter.
- PICTORIAL INTERVENTION: Free painting with acrylic paints on the images. Color, gesture and intuition create new narratives.
Open to people who speak English and/or Portuguese.
DATE: November 8, 2025
TIME: 2pm - 6pm
