Gianlluca Carneiro is a visual artist from Minas Gerais and an educator in the public school system. Bachelor in
law and with a degree in history, he had his first contact with painting at the age of six, in a studio in the city of Mariana, in the interior of Minas Gerais. Art has always been part of his life and from 2020 he began to dedicate himself to deepening his artistic practice. His research develops around paintings, sculptures and installations through the movement of appropriation and resignification of popular, religious and contemporary symbols. His works permeate figuration and the striking contrast of colors, expressions and provocations. In 2022, he joined Coletivo Amarelo and is part of this movement for a new way of thinking, doing and presenting art. Since 2020, his work has been exhibited in national and international exhibitions, with emphasis on the 20th Jataí National Art Salon and the collective
“Confluence” in the Coletivo Amarelo space.
