Zijn werk neemt hem mee naar Braziliaanse biomen zoals de Pantanal, de Cerrado, het Atlantische Woud en vele andere bestemmingen, en fotografie speelt een belangrijke rol tijdens zijn reizen. Hij gebruikt het als instrument om zijn verbeelding de vrije loop te laten, maar ook als middel om een didactisch repertoire te cre\u00ebren waarin zijn kennis van de biologie samenkomt met kunst. Het doel is om de schoonheid van de natuur te laten zien door middel van gevoelige beelden, waarbij de organische structuren en singulariteiten ervan worden benadrukt.
