Named Epiphyllum Guatemalense ‘Monstrose’, this plant is a member of the Cactaceae family. Commonly known as ‘Orchid Cactus’ due to the blooms resembling orchid blossoms, this jungle cacti is native to Guatemala and will attach itself to a tree in order to live off of the composting debris collected from its nooks and crannies. Its flowers are very fragrant and usually open at night, but they are very picky about when to bloom as the plant needs to feel safely root bound before releasing its powerful scent.
