Die renommierte portugiesische K\u00fcnstlerin Helena Almeida ist im Moreira Salles Institute in S\u00e3o Paulo ausgestellt. Unter dem Titel \u201eBewohnte Fotografie, Anthologie von Helena Almeida, 1969-2018\u201c ist dies die erste Einzelausstellung der K\u00fcnstlerin in Brasilien. Die Ausstellung ist jetzt f\u00fcr die \u00d6ffentlichkeit zug\u00e4nglich und findet bis zum 24. September im IMS Paulista statt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Helena Almeida: Wer ist die K\u00fcnstlerin?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Helena Almeida wurde 1934 in Lissabon geboren, wo sie bis zu ihrem Tod im September 2018 lebte.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seine Reise in die Kunst umfasste verschiedene Formate, von Zeichnung, Malerei, Skulptur und Performance. Der Schwerpunkt ihrer Arbeit lag jedoch auf der Fotografie. Ende der 1960er-Jahre begann Helena Almeida mit dem, was ihr weiteres Leben als K\u00fcnstlerin pr\u00e4gen sollte: der Fotografie, die sich durch Originalit\u00e4t und Pioniergeist auszeichnete.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die K\u00fcnstlerin experimentierte auch mit der Verwendung von Malerei in ihren Fotografien und schuf Werke, die ihre Karriere pr\u00e4gten, wie \u201ePinturas Habitadas\u201c (1975\u20131977) und \u201eDento de Mim\u201c (2001).<\/span><\/p>\n

Der K\u00fcnstler vertrat Portugal auf der ganzen Welt, zweimal auf der Biennale von Venedig, 1982 und 2005 auf der Biennale von S\u00e3o Paulo, 1979 und 2004 auf der Biennale von Sydney. Auf diesem Weg wurde Helena Almeida zu einer der bedeutendsten portugiesischen zeitgen\u00f6ssischen K\u00fcnstlerinnen.<\/span><\/p>\n

In den letzten Jahren wurden seine Arbeiten in Einzelausstellungen gezeigt, beispielsweise im Moreira Salles Institute in S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bewohnte Fotografie, Anthologie von Helena Almeida, 1969-2018<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Ausstellung \u201eFotografia inhabitada, eine Anthologie von Helena Almeida, 1969-2018\u201c wird die erste Einzelausstellung der renommierten portugiesischen K\u00fcnstlerin in Brasilien sein. Die von Isabel Carlos, Kuratorin f\u00fcr zeitgen\u00f6ssische Kunst und Kunsthistorikerin, kuratierte Ausstellung pr\u00e4sentiert eine Auswahl von Werken, die auf Fotografie und Zeichnung basieren und zwischen 1969 und 2018 entstanden sind.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Arbeiten thematisieren wiederkehrende Themen in Almeidas Schaffen, etwa die Befragung von Genres und k\u00fcnstlerischen Prozessen sowie die Selbstdarstellung von K\u00fcnstlerinnen und Frauen.<\/span><\/p>\n

In ihrer Produktion ist die Fotografie mehr als ein k\u00fcnstlerisches oder dokumentarisches Genre, sie ist eine konzeptionelle St\u00fctze f\u00fcr die Ideen und Prozesse des Schaffens. Diese Untergrabung der Grenzen der Definitionen des Kunstwerks sowie die st\u00e4ndige Wiederholung ihres Status als K\u00fcnstlerin bringen Helena Almeidas Werk auf den neuesten Stand und best\u00e4tigen die historische Relevanz ihrer Rolle in einer Generation, die neue Wege er\u00f6ffnete und Prozesse in Denkweisen und artikulieren die Beziehung zwischen Kunst und Leben.<\/span><\/p>\n
